One Last Ride On The Road To GTA VI π 118 Days to launch
Lamar says; “You need to walk with your fat ass.”
Franklin fires straight back; “You tall lanky son of a bitch.”
Neither of them is genuinely offended. Neither takes it personally. It’s just how they communicate.Real friendships don’t require constant agreement. Sometimes they’re built on the confidence that you can tease each otherβ¦ and still have each other’s back when it matters.
“A friend is someone who knows all about you and still likes you.” β Often attributed to Elbert Hubbard.
I actually think this scene is less about the dialogue and more about the chemistry. Rockstar didn’t write Lamar and Franklin to sound like two characters delivering lines. They wrote them to sound like two lifelong mates who have spent years winding each other up.
That’s why this exchange feels authentic. Neither one is trying to “win” the argument. They’re entertaining each other while walking down the street.
That’s a nice angle because it shows that Rockstar’s greatest writing strength isn’t always the big speeches. Sometimes it’s the tiny, everyday conversations that make the characters feel like real people rather than video game protagonists.
With Grand Theft Auto VI on the horizon, I thought it was the perfect time to revisit one of the greatest games ever made. GTA V was one of the very first games I created content for, and while I had plenty of enthusiasm back then, I was still learning the art of recording, editing and storytelling. I won’t deny, I still have a long way to go though!
So, over the days leading up to the launch of GTA VI, I’m returning to Los Santos for Grand Theft Auto V β Series 2. Rather than simply re-uploading old footage, I’m creating a brand-new collection of fast-paced shorts that focus on the funniest moments, biggest fails, epic stunts and unforgettable chaos. These clips are shorter, sharper and edited to keep the action flowing from start to finish. Think of it as a celebration of GTA V, a countdown to GTA VI, and a chance to compare where Gramepa started with where the channel is today. The challenge is to get the whole game covered by GTAVI launch.
Follow Gramepa for at least one new GTA V short every day (probably two if I’m going to achieve this) as we count down to the biggest gaming launch in years. I hope you’ll enjoy the ride as much as I do!
