Gramepa’s Gaming Character Archive — Project Complete
Welcome to Gramepa’s Gaming Character Archive, a collection celebrating the most memorable, bizarre, badass and downright entertaining characters in gaming history.
From classic arcade legends and 8-bit heroes to modern open-world characters, RPG favourites, villains, sidekicks and cult gaming icons, the Archive set out to explore the characters that have helped make video games what they are.
Each entry brought a different character into the spotlight, combining gaming history, character profiles and a little Gramepa-style commentary. The journey crossed decades, genres and platforms, just as gaming itself does.
**The Archive project has now drawn to a close.** But there’s one final chapter to tell: the story of how the project was created, the challenges encountered along the way, and what the experience revealed about using AI to produce a consistent series of creative work.
I’ve documented that experience in a series of reports published on my website FRUKit, examining the ambitions behind the project, the production process, what went wrong and the lessons learned.
You can find the reports on the FRUKit website and discover why this experiment turned out to be about rather more than gaming characters.
Gaming characters. Gaming history. A little Gramepa nonsense — and one final look behind the scenes.
