One Last Ride On The Road To GTA VI đź“… 112 Days to launch
Every Decision Has a Price
Michael admits; “I wasn’t thinking straight”. That’s probably the most important line in the scene. One moment of anger… One impulsive decision… Now he’s staring at a $2.5 million bill.
Rockstar isn’t really talking about money. They’re talking about consequences. Sometimes the biggest cost of a bad decision isn’t immediate. It arrives later… when the emotion has gone and that’s often when reality hurts the most.
“Choices have consequences.” — A simple truth that never goes out of date.
This scene is the payoff to several conversations we’ve already analysed. Michael has spoken about:
- The cost of success.
- Feeling directionless.
- Wanting retirement.
- Knowing crime wasn’t worth it.
Now reality tests everything he’s said. He doesn’t go back to crime because he misses the excitement. He goes back because he believes he has no other option. That’s an important distinction.
Rockstar isn’t romanticising the criminal life here. They’re showing how one reckless decision can close off good choices until the bad ones start looking like the only ones left.
The most expensive decisions are often the ones we make in the cheapest moments—when anger, pride or impulse are doing the thinking for us.
I think that’s one of the strongest universal lessons Rockstar hides in the early chapters of GTA V, and it ties together beautifully with the early scenes we’ve already covered about Michael’s regret, impulsiveness and search for a better life.
With Grand Theft Auto VI on the horizon, I thought it was the perfect time to revisit one of the greatest games ever made. GTA V was one of the very first games I created content for, and while I had plenty of enthusiasm back then, I was still learning the art of recording, editing and storytelling. I won’t deny, I still have a long way to go though!
So, over the days leading up to the launch of GTA VI, I’m returning to Los Santos for Grand Theft Auto V – Series 2. Rather than simply re-uploading old footage, I’m creating a brand-new collection of fast-paced shorts that focus on the funniest moments, biggest fails, epic stunts and unforgettable chaos. These clips are shorter, sharper and edited to keep the action flowing from start to finish. Think of it as a celebration of GTA V, a countdown to GTA VI, and a chance to compare where Gramepa started with where the channel is today. The challenge is to get the whole game covered by GTAVI launch.
Follow Gramepa for at least one new GTA V short every day (probably two if I’m going to achieve this) as we count down to the biggest gaming launch in years. I hope you’ll enjoy the ride as much as I do!

What’s more important: making the right decision… or recognising a bad one before it’s too late?
