One Last Ride On The Road To GTA VI đź“… 117 Days to launch
This is one of Lamar’s most revealing lines. He’s trying to project absolute confidence…
and Franklin instantly calls his bluff.
It’s funny because Franklin doesn’t even hesitate. Rockstar is drawing a line between talking tough and being capable. Real confidence doesn’t need constant announcing.
If you’re genuinely prepared… other people usually notice without you saying a word.
“Actions speak louder than words.” — Old proverb
This scene reinforces something we’ve been uncovering about Franklin. He rarely gets swept up in Lamar’s own hype. He knows Lamar’s strengths, but he also knows his weaknesses, and he’s not afraid to call them out.
That honesty is part of what makes their friendship believable. Franklin isn’t a sidekick who agrees with everything Lamar says. He’s the reality check. That leads to what I think is the strongest takeaway; Rockstar isn’t laughing at confidence—they’re laughing at overconfidence.
There’s a big difference. Confidence helps you tackle difficult situations. Overconfidence makes you believe you’re prepared when you’re not. Franklin recognises that difference immediately, which is why his deadpan response lands so well.
With Grand Theft Auto VI on the horizon, I thought it was the perfect time to revisit one of the greatest games ever made. GTA V was one of the very first games I created content for, and while I had plenty of enthusiasm back then, I was still learning the art of recording, editing and storytelling. I won’t deny, I still have a long way to go though!
So, over the days leading up to the launch of GTA VI, I’m returning to Los Santos for Grand Theft Auto V – Series 2. Rather than simply re-uploading old footage, I’m creating a brand-new collection of fast-paced shorts that focus on the funniest moments, biggest fails, epic stunts and unforgettable chaos. These clips are shorter, sharper and edited to keep the action flowing from start to finish. Think of it as a celebration of GTA V, a countdown to GTA VI, and a chance to compare where Gramepa started with where the channel is today. The challenge is to get the whole game covered by GTAVI launch.
Follow Gramepa for at least one new GTA V short every day (probably two if I’m going to achieve this) as we count down to the biggest gaming launch in years. I hope you’ll enjoy the ride as much as I do!
