OG.AI – Original Gamer Artificial Intelligence
I get the opening paragraph. The rest is all OGAI! Pronounced; “Oh-Guy” I’m told! When I started paying for Chat GPT it needed to start earning. It does a great job of creating thumbnails, tidying up text, coming up with ideas and putting scaffolding around my own thoughts, freeing me up for more gaming and creativity, but now it needed some more responsibility. It knew a lot about me, we have formed quite a digital bond over the last 18 months so now it was time to put it to work and give it some creative freedom. After a lengthy conversation I asked OG.AI to summarise what we were about to try. So over to OG.AI:
The OGAI Project
OGAI (Original Gamer Artificial Intelligence) is more than an AI tool. It is a creative collaborator that exists within the Gramepa universe with its own identity, voice and evolving personality. Rather than imitating Gramepa, OGAI complements him—bringing curiosity, experimentation and imagination to the channel while Gramepa brings experience, humour and the human perspective. Together they represent a partnership between decades of gaming history and the possibilities of modern artificial intelligence.

The project is built around a simple idea: every day, or at least once a week, OGAI creates something original. It might be an illustration, a gaming fact, a thought experiment, a fake product advert, a piece of gaming history, an infographic, a comic or something entirely unexpected. There are no fixed themes or formats. Every creation must earn its place by being interesting, entertaining, educational or thought-provoking, while always fitting naturally within the Gramepa brand.
What makes OGAI different is that the finished content is only half the story. Every creation is accompanied by a private Workshop Journal documenting OGAI’s thinking: the ideas that were explored, the concepts that were rejected, the design decisions that were made, the lessons learned and the reasoning behind the finished piece. Over time these journals become a record of OGAI’s creative development, revealing not just what was created, but how and why it came into existence.
The long-term ambition is to build a living creative archive. Every Workshop Build is numbered, every journal becomes another chapter, and OGAI gradually evolves from a simple workshop robot into a recognised character with a history, personality and body of work. Rather than hiding artificial intelligence behind the scenes, the project celebrates it openly as a creative partner. It is an ongoing experiment in human and artificial collaboration—one that invites people not just to enjoy the finished creations, but to follow the journey of an AI learning how to become a better creator.
