Having finally collected enough spare iron to make some tracks I start laying it down only to discover I’m going to need quite a bit more to get to offsprings place.
A trip down to the local caves follows where I manage to source enough iron after a few scraps. It seems I have now explored this entire cave system which houses my two strip mines which go down to bedrock… I’ll be needing to widen my search areas now in the hunt for more materials.
Laying the last of the track to include the boosty bits every 37 rails. We get to test it out for the first time at the end of the video. If you had told the 9 year old me 47 years ago playing with my Hornby railway set that one day I would be building railways like this I would have been just a tad excited!
We will need an awful lot more rail to get to all four edges of the map!
